             1978--Graduation in Medicine at the University of Oporto

 

             1986--Certified Ophthalmologist by the Portuguese Board of Ophthalmology

                       (Ordem dos Medicos)

 

             1990...Doctorate in Ophthalmology (PhD) at the University of Oporto                                             (Biomedical Science Institute Abel Salazar).Doctoral thesis on ERP and                                                    Astigmatism Surgery.

 

             1990/1999---Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Oporto

 

             2000….. --------- Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Porto
